The portfolio includes world class, leading-edge technologies and unrivalled technical service and applications expertise that support our customers in developing tailored solutions.Summary:??The Packaging Operator is primarily responsible for assisting in a wide variety of miscellaneous, routine and non-routine jobs not ordinarily covered by direct operating classifications. These miscellaneous assignments will not involve the operation of chemical equipment or units. ?The position requires regular, dependable attendance. Position requires some overtime and weekend work.

  • Physically moves a wide variety of raw, intermediate, finished and by-products, from and to trailers, trucks, units, warehouses and storage tanks by pumping, packaging, and use of industrial powered trucks, hoists or cranes

  • Operates various packaging equipment such as scales (weighing), sealing equipment, dust collector and vacuum system.

  • Reports to the Logistics & Operations Supervisor, Shift? Coordinator or Production Manager for specific assignments; often works with maintenance and operating personnel regarding coordinated efforts.

  • Preparing, packaging, labeling, and loading? finished goods (FIBCs, paper bags, drums, box trucks, containers), including vehicle and package inspection.

  • Routinely checks and cleans equipment for optimal operation and reports issues to supervision. Actively practices good housekeeping principals to ensure safe operations.

  • Supports advancement initiatives by actively engaging in the Safety, Zero Defect/Quality, Customer Focus and Operations Improvement Plans and supports the PSM audit program as required.?

  • From time-to-time must prepare equipment for maintenance personnel to work on or performs minor repairs and assists in major repairs as time permits. ?Also performs other duties as directed by supervision.

Education Required:?High School diploma or equivalent plus Silver Career Readiness Certificate

Education Preferred:?Associates Degree or Technical Training School Certification in related field plus Gold Career Readiness Certificate

  • Ability to wear and work in heavy protective clothing and equipment, including a full-face respirator, firefighting suit and all other required PPE.

  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures, manuals, and written instructions.

  • Ability to use computer system(s) as required to enter and record data, generate reports, and complete training assignments.

  • Ability to hear emergency alarms and warning signals.

  • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and weather.

  • Ability to access open-grating, multi-story facilities or equipment by stairway or ladder.

  • Ability to work independently or with a team

  • Must pass drug screen, functional capacity exam, and respirator fit test.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
